In June, Julie from The Moonlight Wanderer nominated me for the Chasing Sunbeams Summer Blog Tag, which is basically a list of get-to-know-you questions that bloggers can answer on their platforms!
I’m so excited to get to share my answers with you and would love to hear what your responses are as well! Feel free to share them in the comments below or on your own blog if you have one.
What's a book you read with summer vibes?
The Summer We Forgot by Caroline George! It’s young adult thriller with a lyrical writing style that that takes place in the summer. It’s an unique read, but I definitely liked it. (Content note: it is a thriller and there is some content, but it’s honestly really clean for the genre it’s in. Be sure to look up reviews if you’re interested!)
If you could travel anywhere this summer, where would you go?
To the exact place that I’m going - a two-week beach vacation with amazing friends and family!
What's a poem or quote that reminds you of summer?
A Bird Song by Christina Rosetti!
Describe your favorite summer memory.
I have a lot of favorite summer memories! One that always make me laugh, though, is when my mom’s side of the family stayed in little beach houses that were right beside each other. My sister and I (we were both probably under 6 at the time) were playing at my grandparents’ house and spent over an hour in my grandma’s closet! She brought lots of shoes with her, and for some reason, I just remember perfect happiness as my sister and I tried them on.
Your ideal summer is filled with _______, _________, and _________.
Sun, friends, and travel!
What is your favorite summer food?
I honestly prefer summer drinks to summer foods! I love smoothies or sparkling water with fresh frozen fruit sprinkled in.
Favorite summer activities?
Swimming in our pool and reading beside it, mowing the backyard (sometimes), traveling to visit friends and family, and spontaneous outings we don’t typically do.
How do you usually celebrate 4th of July?
My neighborhood has a parade and BBQ that my sister and I always help with, and then my family typically watches fireworks somewhere local at night!
What's a song that reminds you of summer?
There are so many! I actually made an entire summer playlist if you’d like to listen to some favorite and summer-y songs.
What are you most excited for this summer?
The trip I have planned! I’m going on a two-week trip to the beach this summer, and will fly up ahead of my family to spend a week with friends. Them, I’ll meet up with my family to spend a week with them in a big beach house together.
Aww, I loved reading through this, Molly! That summer memory is so sweet, and your two week beach vacation sounds like it's going to be a blast!! I'd love to have summer drink recipes from you; they sounds so good, and I loved your bookish one from your blog last year too. Have a great summer, friend!
